DVI 1/4

Last night I started my gratitude journal, and I was so surprised to find ou the things I was grateful for. I didn't even know that I was so gateful for so much until I really stopped to think about it. I was super grateful for my BFF Stacy Hanssen, since we always have the most fun when we're together (last night she took Lauren and myself in her car and we went to a Gotham City themed ball and then for a midnight pie trip.) I was also thankful fo the little things we have now that we didn't before, in particular the washing machine that I used to clean part of my costume last minute, and target where i went to get a pair of black nylon thigh his when all i had were beige knee his. I'm also thankful for my fantastic BF Devin, who waited up till I was home on FB to see where I was and who worried when I wasn't on all day (which makes more sence than it seems, since I'm ALMOST an addict.)

Kinda Random

So this has nothing to do with the project, but I felt like sharing.
My mom got me a mood ring. She figured it'd be best to know how I'm feeling before she tries to converse so that I won;t get all snippy.
:P
Anyhoo, I was just sitting aroung talking and I noticed that my ring was pink, and when I looked at the chart, it said that pink meant that I was very happy. I don't know why, but just seeing that my mood ring said I was happy lit up my heart. It was wierd and psychological, but I can't remember eve being that happy forr something as smalll as a mood ring saying that I was OK with life.
It made me feel really good!
Anyways I think maybe if people thoought about how they were feeling then they'd find that they're happier a lot more often than they think they are.
Thats all honeys!
XOXOXOXO

Tri 1/2 part 2

:D The soup was so so amazing! Thanks for the recippe Katelyn!

Here it is:
"Get a squash, a big white or yellow onion, and about 5-6 cloves of garlic.
Boil the squash in water for about 20 minutes until it's softish, then peel, gut, and chiop it ito 1" cubes
Drain the water, and saute onions and garlic until just soft,
add squash and about 2x as much broth (I use vegetable) and simmer for about 45mins-an hour, or until everythings mushy,
then you can either use a stick immersion blender and blend it, or transfer small batches to a regualr blender.
add more broth if necessary
you can add potatoes and carrots to make it creamier. or parsnips"- Katelyn
I added about a pint of heavy cream too, but i made twice as much as this recipe is for. Actually, though the squash don't seem so big, it's very rich, and I fed 4 for dinner and we all have enough for a lunch too :)
If you're gonna mae this, give yourself lots of time- it was very hot and hard to peel and clean out, and it takes a while to make. It was so woth it though! I'm glad that I tried it :D
XOXOXOXO loves :)

Tri 1/2

So I went out to find a fruit, and I found butternut squash. It's not exactly a fruit, but I could't find one I hadn't tried before so I figured I could give this a shot. I was told the best way to make it is to use it for soup, so right now, I'm in the kitcken boiling squash. It smells so good! I'm going to make the soup and grilled chese sandhiches for the fam- I hope everybody enjoys it!
The recipe I'm using is from my friend who's a vegetaian and she loves it- if it comes out right I'll definately share it with everyone! I can't wait!
XOXOXO, B
